Over 200 geotopes, 24 premium hiking trails, enchanting half-timbered towns, castles and palaces, two poppy villages, mysterious legendary places of Frau Holle and a long barefoot path - all this and much more can be found between Werratal, Hohem Meißner, Kaufunger Wald.
Download your hiking tours conveniently and benefit from additional information on geology, nature and culture - as well as refreshments and farm shops - on the way on our certified premium circular hiking trails. Many other tours for outdoor people, nature explorers and peace seekers, for pedestrians, pedal knights and paddle swingers are currently in preparation.
But also city strollers, history buffs or moaning have with the app all the information about the region always there. On the overview map you will find excursion destinations and leisure facilities to which you can comfortably navigate.
The app also has - also offline - an overview of the Radverleiher, tourist information, emergency contacts and an online connection for accommodation, public transport and event search.
The Geo-Nature Park Frau-Holle-Land is located in the middle of Germany on the former German-German border. Today you will find again many of the once rare animal and plant species along the Green Belt. Due to the varied landscapes between Werratal, Hohem Meißner and Kaufunger Wald, the Geo-Nature Park is one of only 30 hotspots of biodiversity in Germany. The highest mountain is the Hohe Meißner, on which according to legend Ms. Holle lives. The well-known fairy-tale character is based on the millennia-old history of a deity and numerous regional legends.
